Lesson 11: Critical moments from the past
In this lesson, Susan will analyze critical moments from five different games, all played at the legendary Nottingham 1936 tournament. Those include a classic "petite combination" by Lasker and a lucky escape by Capablanca, which lead the Cuban genius to eventually tie for first place with Botvinnik at that event. And the lesson ends with the Miracle in Chess feature, a beautiful endgame study by Newman, which ends in an unexpected stalemate.
