- Product Review (submitted on August 28, 2015):
- First, Akobian does a good job presenting clearly and explaining ideas. However, I find it odd that he advocates 1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3. Nc3 dxe4 (Rubinstein Variation), but in the Tarrasch after 1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.Nd2 he covers 3...Nf6. I would have preferred he either explain a repertoire using only the Rubinstein in greater detail or give a repertoire in the Winawer (3.Nc3 Bb4) or Classical (3.Nc3 Nf6). His Tarrasch repertoire isn't so useful because he doesn't explain the Winawer or Classical variations because an opponent that knows your repertoire can play Nc3 and only have to be prepared for the Rubinstein.
