The recently concluded Chess Olympiad in Tromso, Norway, provides a lot of material to the analysists like our tactician GM Larry Christiansen. Among over 5,000 games, there are some real gems. Today Larry, after delighting us with a nice attacking combo, shows us a game that seems to come from the past century, with an opening that nowadays is not used so often: the Fried Liver attack. The uber-famous Latvian GM Alexey Shirov used this ancient opening against the Lituanian GM Sarunas Sulskis.
